Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 20 August 2026
These are the terms we work to. They cover how estimates and pricing work, what we need from you on the day, how we handle weather and scheduling, and what happens if something is not right.
Who these terms are between
These terms apply to work carried out by Floy'd Landscaping LLC ("we", "us") for the person or business who asks for it ("you"). Accepting an estimate, or letting us start work, means accepting these terms.
Estimates and pricing
- Estimates are free and carry no obligation.
- An estimate is based on the property as we find it when we look at it, and on the scope we discussed. It is not binding on either of us until it is accepted.
- If the scope changes, or conditions turn out to be materially different from what we quoted on, we will tell you and agree a revised price with you before carrying out the extra work. We do not add charges you have not agreed.
- Material and labour are quoted so you can see what you are paying for.
Scheduling and weather
Landscaping is weather-dependent. Heavy rain, frozen or waterlogged ground and storms can make work impossible or damaging to your property, and some work — seeding, sod, turf treatments — only takes properly in the right conditions. We may reschedule when that happens, and we will tell you as soon as we can. Seasonal work such as leaf removal and spring clean-ups books up, so dates are allocated in the order they are confirmed.
Access to the property
On the day, we need you to:
- Give us access to the areas we are working on, including gates and side returns.
- Keep pets indoors or secured while we are on site.
- Tell us about anything hidden in or just under the lawn or beds — irrigation heads, invisible pet fencing, low-voltage lighting cable, septic components, shallow utility runs, or anything else we cannot see.
- Move or point out anything fragile or valuable that is in the work area.
We take care, but we cannot be responsible for damage to buried or concealed items we were not told about and could not reasonably have seen. Where work involves digging, required utility locating is arranged before we break ground.
Plants, sod and seed
Living material depends on aftercare once we leave, and watering is the single biggest factor. We will tell you what new planting, sod or seed needs and for how long. Provided the material was healthy and correctly installed, we cannot guarantee it against drought, overwatering, pets, extreme weather, disease or pests once it is in your care. If something fails and you think we got it wrong, tell us — see below.
Payment
Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work, or on the schedule set out in your estimate for recurring or staged work. Larger installations may require a deposit for materials, which will be stated in the estimate.
Quality Work Guaranteed
We take pride in every job we do — and if something is not right when we have finished, tell us and we will come back and put it right.
To make that work in practice, please tell us promptly — while we can still see what you are describing and put it right on the same job rather than months later. This covers the standard of our workmanship. It is not a warranty against normal wear, seasonal change, weather damage, or how living material fares after we leave.
Cancelling or rescheduling
Let us know as early as you can. For a scheduled visit, a day's notice means we can offer the slot to someone else. Where we have already bought materials specifically for your job, or a crew has travelled to site and could not work through no fault of ours, we may charge for that.
Insurance and liability
Floy'd Landscaping LLC is a fully insured landscaping company. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, our liability in connection with a job is limited to the price of that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Photographs
We may photograph completed work for our portfolio, this website and social media. We do not publish customer names or addresses alongside them. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not — see our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your job is the one published when you accepted your estimate.
